Notice of statewide recording fee changes due to legislative action
Effective January 1, 2025 the Huron County Recorder's Office will be charging the $5.00 document preservation surcharge for documents subject to the regular recording fees due to the enactment of SB 94. The new recording fee for the first two pages will be $39.00 (previously $34.00). Each additional page remains the same as current law at $8.00. Each marginal reference will continue to be $4.00.

Holiday Closings
The Huron County Recorder's Office will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday, December 24 and 25, 2024 in observance of Christmas. The office will re-open Thursday, December 26, 2024 at 8:00 A.M.
The office will also be closed Wednesday, January 1, 2025 in observance of New Year's Day. The office will re-open Thursday, January 2, 2025 at 8:00 A.M.
